Welcome to Gamma A!!!!!

Hello!

We hope that you have had a wonderful and exciting summer holiday that has left you renewed, rejuvenated, and eager to begin 6th grade. As your teachers, we are looking forward to getting to know you, and we are excited for you to meet your peers. We hope you find your classrooms places where you are comfortable and can’t wait to reach each morning.

The 6th Grade (Gamma) is divided into three sides. We are members of A Side! As a team we will occasionally meet as a large group or do things together such as going on field trips and celebrating birthdays. Occasionally the whole 6th grade and even the entire Middle School will also get together.

As you can see, you are now a very important member of a number of learning communities: your Homebase, Gamma A Team, the 6th Grade, Middle School, and SAS.

Here are some suggestions to help you be successful in the 6th grade:

• Come with an open mind, a big smile, and a positive attitude.
• Be ready to seek knowledge and have fun.
• Come prepared with all of your school supplies for every class.
• It’s not a problem if you’re nervous—so are all of your teammates.
• Most of all: RELAX and ask for help when you need it!

Remember to bring the following things with you on the first day of school:

• Completed Classroom Without Walls (CWW) forms
• Your locker lock 
• Your best attitude and enthusiasm!

• Overnight: Wednesday & Thursday, 2-3 September
• Sentosa day: Friday, 4 September

This year certainly promises to offer new and wonderful experiences, and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you. Please feel free to contact your Home Base teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
